THis is the old timers, who frankly dislike all that is going on at VT

They dont like Tim sands, they dont like VT and the innovation center and NOVA campus, they dont like the collaborative education model, they dont like the diversity of VT. they dont like VT growing every year to 35-40 k. They even dont like VT dining halls are no 1 in the nation. (think they are too fancy). They want everything to return to 1970 and a 18,000 campus. They dont like us in the ACC (cannot relate to these schools).

USNWR ratings are not the be all rating system. Engineering as boomed, Architecture top 10, Business top 20. The Real Estate program one of the top in the nation. The Research is growing fast and top 50 research institutes in the country and the best research in the state. (NO ITS NOT UVA). and over 41,000 applicants who want to go to VT. Something is right going on, and the old folks just really are not part of the unversity outreach.
