I sort of like the "Rage Red" frame, probably because it was the first...


...color I saw the bike in, and it stuck with me...lol

Looks like the Checkpoint and Domane SL5s and 6s are about the same when you look at components. I'll probably copy all of the specific components used on the SL6, then swap them over to upgrade the bike when I feel it's necessary. The wheels on the Domane SL5 have the same criticism...a little heavy, and the bike can be "brought alive" by adding carbon wheels...lol Not sure I'll swap out the wheels, but you never know...

Frankly I don't mind servicing the IsoSpeed components if they dampen the vibration/shock of rough pavement. That's worth it to me! I hit a few pot holes last July that just hurt my wrists (probably because I put too much weight on my wrists as I got tired). Anything that dampens that is definitely worth every penny.

Did your local bike shop give you any deals with your purchase? Have a feeling I shouldn't expect to see that since "bikes are the new TP."
