Beats me, that sure looks fun though

I had to look up some terms and catch up on Trek branding here. You were looking for larger tires what size are these 36-38mm? It's funny, as a 200# plus guy, years ago I sorta hypothesized that I really needed a bike like this instead of the gram shaving racing bikes we were being sold, add a little weight back but with a little more rubber on the road, heftier brakes (now provided by disks) etc. etc. etc. and now, years later, they exist. I can't even comment on the carbon as it's gone through some evolutions since my bikes but a comfortable ride at certain "frequencies" if that makes any sense.

Good on ya though, I think after pulling out a "nicer" bike myself recently, they really are worth it, not just elite twinkyism and it looks like you're going for the bike you want rather than budgeting first (I mean, everything's on a budget right?) Try out the even nicer bike though and see if it talks to you ;^)

so yeah, I guess that's a two thumbs up.
