I have Trek Domane 5.2

which what i assume more or less was the same model 5 years ago as to what you are considering. It only has the rear decoupler though- but is a bit upgraded from the 105. I rode it cross country from LA to Boston in 2015, and a couple of other long distance trips. You will like the comfort of the geometry. Do NOT get a flat bar setup if you are a distance rider- you will want/need different hand/arm positions. If you dont go with Trek go with another endurance class carbon bike from one of the others- Specialize, Giant etc. - I'm just more familiar with Trek. Most everyone these days are going with disc brakes (my bike does not have it) and electronic shifting is getting more popular (although it will add expense). Consider an extended cassette in the back if you ride in mountains or steep hills a lot. Not expensive to trade it out. You wont go wrong with any carbon endurance bike from one of the big manufacturers. Amazing machines.
