Apparently the ACC has table bangers about Madison Square Garden
Much of the media was surprised to get no announcement about where the ACC men's basketball tournament would play after 2020.
Apparently Atlanta isn't a popular location. I don't know why. The SEC has moved out of Atlanta. The ACC has had successful basketball tournaments in Atlanta before. Greensboro and Charlotte will be on the rotation, and they should. I don't get this problem with Atlanta.
The ACC wants New York and Washington on the rotation, but there are apparently table bangers insisting on Madison Square Garden. That venue is not available unless we go a week early like the Big Ten. That was not good, and Jim Delany said the Big Ten would never do that again. The Barclays Center worked well I thought.
It is interesting that the ACC is having trouble with consensus on this.
