Nevada-Reno and New Mexico are good choices geographically.

There are 5 million people in the two states. I would stay away from UNLV for now since the Oakland Raiders are going to steal all of the sports entertainment oxygen in Las Vegas. The Reno region around Lake Tahoe would be perfect, and Nevada has been doing well enough in football.

Of course the Big XII may offer some choices if they dissolve, but it's the Pacific Coast Conference. They should fill in with some missing pieces in that region.

Boise State is also an option, but the academics are terrible. BYU is an option, but that league may be against a religious school.
