Using his NFL Sunday package example, imagine how less popular


the NFL would be if you could only watch games if you ponied up $240 a year just for NFL games. I think that is what he is suggesting here. If not, that means some "free" games on the major broadcast networks. Those free games would be enough to satisfy those who are not associated with one of those 24 schools. Either way, if you want to kill college football's popularity this is the right track. NFL is region-based and has a much broader audience than college football which is largely school-based. Chopping it down 24 teams is going alienate a lot of fans.
