I could totally see something like this happening in 10 years.

The dividing line will be whether or not a school is willing and able to compensate players. Some schools will dip out as these football and basketball programs truly transition into semi-pro entities. That's essentially what we have now, but some are clinging to this ridiculous notion of amateurism where it hasn't existed for decades.

Anyhow, some schools will decide it's just not worth it anymore. I think the SEC schools will be all over it, except for Vandy. Most of the B1G schools will be too. remember, these SEC and B1G schools will have the resource$. Some of the Big12 schools will be willing and able too.

I could see USC and Oregon wanting in. They will likely have the money to do so as well. Some of the ACC schools will too. FSU and Clemson are obvious. I would think VT would be in it to win it, but it wouldn't shock me if we bailed on this thing.

It will be a choice amongst schools about whether or not they want to join. it won't be cheap.

I feel something along these lines would indeed also develop for basketball. Schools like UNC and Duke would obviously buy into that semi-pro league.

Such set ups are much more just and reasonable than what's happening now. Let's just pay the players a bit more and remove the sleaze factor.
