Arguably true now...how about in 2030?

Armchair conference commissioners have a tendency to see things through yesterday's lens, not tomorrow's.

WVU represents a declining, aging, low income population base. Not to mention it has the built in advantage at present (over schools like UConn or Cincy) of their TV numbers being inflated by their opponent's fanbase.

On equal ground, UConn or Cinn will do as well or better than WVU in viewing numbers when the opposing team isn't the draw. And will outpace WVU in almost every other objective and subjective measure.
