Author does a good job but doesn't acknowledge the fierce politics, law-suits etc . The best economic models are not necessarily the most politically expedient.

One area he touches on that I agree with is that whatever the football structure ultimately evolves to (i.e. 4 -16 school conferences) there is no reason it has to effect any sport but football. For example keep the ACC with Wake competing in everything but football- assuming they are a loser in a new format. In fact for all other sports it probably be better if they went back to being 8-12 school conferences.
