It just makes sense to me to have that division


If Texas comes to the ACC, they are going to want ACC Championship events in Texas. When FSU sponsored Miami, they wanted them in Florida. The ACC did that. We had multiple ACC football championship games in Jacksonville and Tampa. We had an ACC basketball tournament in Tampa. It was fine, but not well supported. We're still having stuff there. The women's soccer tournament.

Texas will expect the same, and they should if they come with a group. Not alone. This is part of my point. The other part is that with a division, that can be their fiefdome rather than the whole conference.
