I suspected that the mid-week games might be a challenge

given that the teams "close" to VT may be good-to-great at softball. Hopefully that will change in the future which should only help VT get better. I view the Charlotte game as a "good learning experience" which hopefully bears fruit when the stakes are raised in the Regionals, Super Regionals, or College World Series. At least I'm assuming that VT could cross paths with another "Charlotte" in the postseason.
