I remember the min age being 16, but it sure wasn't enforced. Cigarettes


were in vending machines back then.

Heck, the wife remembers being in elementary school and her dad giving her a couple bucks to buy him cigarettes at the corner store, and she was allowed to keep the change. Granted, the store keeper knew them both and was well aware she was just there running an errand for him. But still, cigarettes were sold to a ten year old without a thought back then.
