Smoking age went from 16 to 18 a couple years after I graduated HS

Guessing smoking in high school disappeared right about then, at least in Virginia.

In a related story, I always did struggle with the song "Smokin' in the Boys Room," both the original and the Motley Crue remake, which came out when I was in high school. The whole point of the song was the line "smokin' ain't allowed in school." Except, it was.
