And it's not "m a n I p u l a t I o n " by anyone except for those who want to use recruits/players for their entertainment without paying or allowing them to make money like a normal human being.
I think a bunch of people, including you need to realize college football has been semi-pro for a really long time with the amount of money under the table, the broadcast deals, money being made off the literal short term and long term injuries and backs of these players without ever being able to make a dime legally. In this country that is a damn sham and never should've happened. NIL is the easiest way to do it. Folks will not throw crazy money out for forever without getting wins, a natty, and an ROI for their business.
And god no, I dig NIL because it allows the money to be finally be taxed, hold people accountable (on both sides of the contract offer). No idea where you came up with that last part.
