I'd be fine with just giving each individual school what it needs
UNC needs three protected games (UVa, Duke, NCSt). Give them three.
Maybe UVa only wants two (UNC and VT), then give them two.
Maybe FSU only wants one (Mia), then given them one.
Maybe Louisville doesn't want any and want to just play everyone more often.
I think this approach could be worked out as well.
I agree with what you said about treating each school's opinion equally. I just think there are some schools that no one else is going to want to play as an every-year meeting. Louisville comes to mind, and maybe Wake.
BTW, I know we all have different opinions on this. But I like playing GT every year and would love to keep doing it. I think it is good to have a Florida team to play every year like Miami. It will be nice to get the WVU series going again. But I would put them at my #4 or #5 preference in the league. (UVa, Miami, GT, then WVU along with UNC, Clemson, FSU, and NC State). Louisville and the three northern schools would be next. With Wake and Duke being last. [Post edited by Maroon Baboon at 02/11/2022 3:15PM]
