The fact that he isn't playing these talented players says...

...he's very stubborn. I called it "trying to hammer that square peg into the round hole" back in December. He is so intent that his original lineup was so perfect, that he continues to play the same guys no matter how much of a slump they maybe in, even if they aren't the best players on the team at the time.

Losing Boots hurt, and it was bad timing that it happened too late to pull a suitable replacement off the portal, but that's water under the bridge. We entered the season with the players we have, which overall is the same team as last year with another year of experience minus Boots and Bede.

Most of the coaches we've had in the past will adjust their starting lineup to attack the weaknesses of our opponent. Mike starts the same 5 guys, period. I think it would take a player having a broken leg to change the lineup, but Mike would probably have him starting on crutches.

My opinion hasn't changed from what I saw in December. He needs to realize he may need to make changes, even though it goes against the very core of his being.
