NFL draft is an independent measure and 90-95% is reliable in my book
I included draft position partly because it was easy to locate and it provided an independent validation/affirmation of the player's ability. My opinion means very little on this board but most people will think higher of a player who was drafted. Several productive college players are not drafted but being a draft pick is an honor that many people respect.
I contend that a player who is ready for FBS ball WILL BE PRODUCTIVE. I believe that a talented player will find a way to get on the field and contribute to the success of his program.
I would say that the recruiting rankings are reliable/accurate if 90-95% of the recruits were contributors. Five stars have met that benchmark so I am crying about the five stars that didn't pick Tech. The three and four stars are not meeting that benchmark so I am confident that most
will agree that recruiting rankings are not reliable for the recruits rated below five stars.
There are probably better ways to revisit/rerank the VA Top 25 FB recruits but I haven't seen many other evaluations. My method of evaluating the performance is based on stats/starts so it is not entirely subjective. I've posted the top 25 list so the sample of players is there for
everyone to see.
