I reviewed the top 25 VA HS recruits over four years to see which players contributed to their teams and which players were over/underrated. My intent was not to predict chances at being drafted in the NFL but a solid college career often leads to a player getting drafted in the NFL. A lot of guys get drafted by the NFL teams based on their potential but they usually perform well in their college leagues.

While the recruiting rankings were making bold predictions, I'm not predicting anything at this point. Hindsight is 20/20. I reviewed the 2012 - 2015 rankings and it's easy to see who was a bust and who outperformed. My analysis only covered who contributed to their college teams and my overall view is that talented players will find playing time for their teams. I also don't want fans getting all worked up over 3 and 4 star recruits who sign with other schools. I will say that it might be appropriate to shed a tear over a 5 star recruit who signs elsewhere BUT it's important to remember that Marcus Vick was a 5 star.
