I would think giving G5 1 slot would avoid that, but I am not a lawyer.


I guess I don't really care how they end up doing it as long as it is based only on conference champs and not some biased pollster who thinks Notre Dame deserves to be in it because they are Notre Dame.

I hate that a committee does things based on "body of work". When Bama beat out Ohio State, the BIG champ a few years ago it was a travesty. I also have no problem with them limiting participation to only 1 per conference. Nobody except the 2 schools involved wants to see 2 teams from the same conference play for the championship when they likely have already played a game during the regular season.
