PAC Commish on Playoff Expansion


“I think it makes sense to expand, whether that is 8 or 12 teams, I don’t know. We’re in favor of expansion sooner rather than later, we don’t need to wait until the end of the current contract.”

“We did a great disservice to our fans by announcing a proposal that had been vetted by just four of the 11 folks that needed to approve it. That was a mistake."

“The 12 team proposal has some issues… we are working through those with the rest of the 11 folks in the room. There are some conferences that would prefer 8, some conferences that would prefer 12 — we’re flexible if issues get resolved.”
