Agreed that byes only help the top. In the pros, there is so much parity that a bye doesn’t always help. But in college you are absolutely right it would be bad.

Also yes to limits for conferences. No more than three from a conference. Champ and up to two top ranked teams.

As for blowouts, I personally don’t care. Give the teams a chance. They might surprise us. Plus we already have some blowouts so this wouldn’t change anything really. Open it up to more teams.
