I never understood why cfb tries to limit who can win a title

Playoffs in all other sports provide opportunities for teams that get hot, or have key players come back from injuries, or who have good seasons just behind the top tier, or who were very good but maybe lost a tight race within their division.

That’s what makes the playoffs fun for the other sports. The chance to compete for the title for a wide variety of teams. All but college football. I don’t understand why people want to limit the playoffs as fans. An expanded playoff, with limits for each conference, is the best solution for everyone and fits the model of other sports.
