Time for Captain Jack to take a backseat. Yes, conference champs


so everyone but independents are eligible. Maybe B1G would be less concerned about ND in ACC if it makes their/ACC road harder to get to playoff.

But I assume the P5s would rather have something like 8 team playoff with top 6 conference champs automatically included.

Expansion nets money for everyone, remember. That money is more important to the non-SEC/B1G schools. And expansion aims to slowly go away from the monopoly of the limited usual suspects.
