You are the one who made an incorrect statement when you said "The playoff did not set up the P5 and G5, that is the NCAA." Right now the Big XII is designated as a P5 conference under the current College Football Playoff contract. It doesn't mean that the Big XII or any of the other existing P5 conference will still maintain the same status when the next contract is goes into effect on July 1, 2025. It is the same thing that happened to the Big East Football Conference when the BCS contract expired and the College Football Playoff contract went into effect.
