SEC should rebrand PFC conference and expand

I'm sure there are too many obstacles, namely GORs, but it would be incredible if the SEC just renamed itself to the PFC (Premier Football Conference) and added another 32 to 40 teams of their choice. Then, they can administer the 4 divisions - instead of this very odd structure where different conferences currently raid and compete. Could you imagine the NFL or MLB having divisions that raided other members?

A huge benefit to this structure is it would create a 48 to 64 national conference, and it would expel the Northwesterns, Dukes, Wake Forests, and other schools that are only playing D1 football due to conference affiliation. They take way more than they give.

I also like Maroon Baboon's suggestion to mimic a system where the perennially bad teams get demoted out of the "Premier Football Conference", while the perennially good teams that are in the next lower level of football get promoted up. This gives Cincinnati, Houston, Boise State, JMU or other teams a chance to enter the league - and it likely helps avoid any potential anti-trust suits since no one is ever truly blocked out.
