No one will need to switch since all the top tier will be making the same

TV money. You have an East Region and West Region OR an AAU-B1G-PAC region and an SEC-ACC region.

If you do it strictly East and West, it's probably is better for TV and travel. And it probably keeps most rivals together except for Notre Dame-USC and LSU-Alabama. If you switched LSU to the East and Notre Dame to the West, that would take care of it. But other than that, no need to get cute with it. Also, doing it East and West will make it simple for tiers 3-5 which would include all of the G5s. I think Rice and Tulane are the only AAUs in the G5, so that wouldn't give much of a feeder tier to the B1G-PAC-AAU side.

If you make Chicago O'Hare the dividing line, there are 33 P66 teams in the East and 33 in the West. Then the G5s line up accordingly in lower tiers.

One national final game is all that is needed. East vs. West. Everyone else is in bowl games. Or relegation-promotion games possibly.
