"Iconic"?

The author must have been under 20 years old, as it seems some teenagers like of use the term as hyperbole or without historical comparison. Flutie's Hail Mary and the Kick 6 were iconic for reference. Beating Clemson in OT in a home game without Trevor Lawrence was hardly that.

That being said, I agree that ND isn't much closer to joining the ACC than pre-Covid.
