Thanks all for sharing your experiences

Wife and discussed it this morning and we're going to have him put down tomorrow. That way the kids all have today to love on him one last time and say proper goodbyes - didn't think it was fair to surprise them with it after they get home from school today. He had a really good day last week where he got to do and see pretty much all his favorite things, but today he won't eat anything at all his energy is almost totally gone. We've got him lying outside in the sun since he's always liked that. I think today we'll all go pick out a suitable plant to mark where we'll lay him to rest in the back yard.
