I remember with my doberman, she was suffering from


congenital heart failure so she didn't have much time to live anyway. However she was so weak, wouldn't eat. It occurred to me that I was just keeping her alive because I was too scared to let her go. That's when I knew. She was always such a proud, athletic, go lucky girl - in the final months, she was just a shell of that. It was heart breaking to watch.
