^^What Stork Said^^. When you were placed on the antibiotic did it help??

When you have a root canal it removes the source of the infection (the gunk inside of the tooth where the pulp died). The area of infection still has to heal so pain can persist for a while. Its like getting a splinter out of your finger, the finger isn't automatically magically healed. Any pain should also be localized to that one area. If you have pain and soreness elsewhere you could have an ulcerative gingivitis (which could be triggered by TAKING an antibiotic), or a few Aphthous ulcers. What are you doing NOW for the pain and is it worse....the same...slightly better??? Triggered by anything (cold water, biting pressure, just shows up, constant or intermittent??) more info would be helpful.
annnnnnnd ....a billing address!
OK...I kid! glad to help if I can
