Really appreciated your insight on my whole dentist-or-endodontist-for-my-root-canal the other day. Ended up letting the dentist do it, and he was able to get it ~2/3 complete. So I had the pleasure of having two root canals on the same tooth in the same day yesterday. Yay!

Turns out I may not have needed a root canal at all. The endodontist indicated that my symptoms were more likely a result of an allergy causing inflammation in my gums. Which, having now had said root canal(s), is probably right because some of my other teeth and my entire mouth still hurts (and not just in the places where I received a total of 6 or 7 shots of Novocaine).

So my questions: 1) does that sound like a plausible reason for my ongoing pain, and 2) if so, what the heck do I do next? Go see a periodontist? Or some other specialist.
