The reason I used President is because often they are the ones
casting the vote at the NCAA meetings or a NCAA-like meeting if a group of schools is thinking about breaking away from the NCAA. If the schools decide to remain under the NCAA umbrella, then I do think it could be 64 football schools. However, if they are looking to break away from the NCAA to either form their own association or become a professional team in certain sports, then I think the number will be smaller. Maybe even as small as 16-30 schools. Keep in mind it is possible a school may decide to become a pro team in football, men's basketball, ice hockey, and baseball, but remain in the NCAA/NAIA/new association name for all other sports.
