Thanks to everybody for your responses...bluehokie

I guess that is where I am, stuck in the 80's. My only resource is/was The Encyclopedia of Modern Bodybuilding.
I decided to get in shape this year. In January I was losing weight with extensive cardio/interval training. I lost 8lbs. by February. I pulled my groin, and had to take time off. I decided to go on a restrictive diet in lieu of exercise(time to recover).
I knew that this restrictive diet would burn muscle as well as fat, so I decided to add weight training to counter-act this. Now I am a solid 215, down from 238 in March.
Thank you for your advise, and the advise of others on the board. I hope to be a healthy 200 by fall.

I will employ your suggestions into my workout at once.

Question, I have always heard 8-10 reps for strength. 10-15 for definition. Is this true, or an advertisement?
