If the Power 4s are going to be "forced" to add some undesirable members
and the Big Ten was willing to take Mizzou, then it opens the door for the SEC to look like this:
East: UK, USC, UF, UGA, 'Bama, Auburn, UT, and Vandy
West: Ole Miss, Miss State, LSU, Ark, OU, Okie State, UT, and TAMU
If the Playoff still allows at-large participants, then it could improve the SEC chances (maybe even significantly) to get 2 teams into Playoff most years. Something to consider is that when the SEC was creating the divisions back in the early 1990s, it wanted to make sure the divisions were balanced in terms of the "blue blood" (or name brand) programs. Based on this proposal both divisions would have 4 programs.
East - 'Bama, UF, UGA, and UT
West - LSU, OU, UT, and TAMU
