Stork and Ben gave good advice. Crab grass took over an entire side of our


yard this summer. It was brutally hot and the fescue got stressed. Georgia yards also have a nutrient problem. Not much organic in the clay. We're composting,aerating and overseeding our entire yard this week. Will stink to high heaven for a few days but hope it looks much better in a couple of weeks.

For the crabgrass, pre-emergent in late Feb or early March is the most important thing you can do. If you put it off until things have started growing a little bit, it's too late.
