The crabgrass will die off with the first frost. Best control


Of that is pre-emergent in the spring. Best thing to do now is seeding. A good lush lawn will minimize weed growth in the long run.

And I can't overemphasize mowing height enough. Folks cutting too short (especially in hot weather) is the single worst thing you can do to your lawn, in my opinion. And take it from me, I used to be a short mowing height kind of guy. Because it sure looks nice right after. I learned my lesson over the years.
