Maryland left before the GoR. Would cost GT (4+)(X) that today.

ESPN isn't going to give Fox an anchor point in Atlanta for free and the ACC isn't going to give up ACCN carriage fees in Georgia.

Figure ACCN/ESPN/Raycom carriage fees and advertising annual income differences by losing that market over a 10 year period and then add lawyer and exit fees... $200 million? $300 million?.

Put another way. Take whatever annual network and advertising value you think WVU has then multiply it by 4. Total that amount for a 10 year period including a % for average annual growth. Then add $50 million for an exit fee and 20% for expenses.

The GoR is intended to make it next to impossible to leave, and it does.

It is expensive but not impossible to break the Big 12 GoR. It is an order of magnitude more painful to leave the ACC.

Unless ESPN/Raycom secures part of the B1G contract, there would literally be no content for the B1G to air.
