That ACC deal was for $155 million/yr. Pac12 signed deal worth $250 million

The TWELVE ACC schools were to receive $155 million per year, with no ACC Network options.

The TWELVE Pac12 schools were to receive $250 million per year, with a Pac12 Network being planned that would bring in ADDITIONAL money. And oh, ESPN was a part of their deal too.

So why should the Pac12 have been able to sign a deal that was so much more lucrative?

Furthermore, the ACC was forced to add a couple of duds in order to renegotiate that horrible deal into something that was at least half way comparable. And what made that even worse was their being forced to extend the contract.

The value of college athletics has skyrocketed for everyone and that is especially true once the playoffs and networks became realities.
