It was a TIC post because I don't think the Big XII is interested

in adding a FCS school. Besides, I don't think the Big XII really cares whether a member is physically located in NYC or in the NYC metro area especially if majority/all the home games are being played in NJ.

Besides, the University of Miami is located in the city of Coral Gables, FL and most people assume the university is in Miami. If the Big XII did add Stony Brook, then don't be surprised if the conference promoted the school as if it was located within NYC or at least make people think it is located there.
