Baseball was my best sport, but I don't think I'm strong enough...

...to go yard with a wooden bat. I consider myself to be a good athlete, and though I'm nowhere near my best, I'm not overweight or feeble. And, I still get out on the baseball field from time to time. However, I just don't think I have the strength in my wrists/core to consistently even come close to hitting a ball 315+, particularly with a wooden bat.

Give me a couple months to get back in the gym, and maybe I could go yard once in 100 pitches....but those pitches would have to be spread out over several sessions. Anyone taking 100 consecutive swings is going to be toast after only 25-30...just look at the MLB players during home run derby.

I almost think I'd be more likely to get a hit off a live MLB pitcher than I would be to hit a home run in batting practice, but even that is a long shot. I was always a singles/doubles hitter....I never had tremendous power. I'm always impressed by players that hit 25-30 home runs or more in a season.
