Couple thoughts...
IF ESPN does this...
They own the right to televise all the non-rev ACC sports content now. If they use the SEC model, the home teams provide the video feed for those events. Those could be routed to SECN or, I suppose, Raycom.
The other bells and whistles (feel good shows) could come from savings from whatever they cut from ESPN News...or by avoiding paying all or a portion of additional rights fees to the ACC...or both.
In this scenario, the ACC makes a fraction of the carriage fees, just like the SEC and LHN, and possibly some updated rights fees for "Tier 1/2".
I'll say this, if the Ad agency working on SECN is prepping for or in the loop on an ACCN, then an ACCN is probably more than a rumor. I don't expect SEC$$$, but something proportional to ratings/markets is what the ACC is due.
