That seems to work fine.


The temp warms, then cools (as thermostat opens) then warms back to normal before it pins to red. I think if the stat was bad, the red would be "real" heat, and the steam would appear. It doesn't. and other than these two "incidents" in the first 5 miles it appears to work fine. It would seem that if it were a thermostat, the problem would not be such a predictable problem (two then done). It would go red, then stay there.

But, I may have to try it, although it's a pain to get to. (thanks Ford)
