Every year there is no network...purported to be $2 per team plus whatever

is negotiated. Some have speculated that the total of base $ plus "happy money" would be about $3 million per team. I have yet to read anything from anyone with an actual copy of the contract but those annual payments, whether $2m or more, add up.

Hard to envision the status quo lasting much longer whether ESPN moves forward or not. From Swofford interview in July 2015...“If we’re going to do this [ACCN] we need to do it in the right way from the beginning that gives us the opportunity to have long-term success, and that’s what we’re trying to do and time it in a way so the distribution can be good, if not great, coming out, if we go this route. The other alternative is larger rights fees (from ESPN).”

So there is apparently either going to be an ACCN, or an increase in the current rights fees.
