I love this idea.

With the new transfer rules and NIL, etc., there is little reason to keep 85 players around.

65 fixes a lot of the $ problems of the lesser P5 teams, and G5. It helps meet those Title 9 numbers.

It limits the player hoarding, and promotes parity.

Alabama will still be the same team on the field as they are now, but those 20 players who miss out will be playing somewhere else, maybe against Alabama.
