Again, not arguing anything, but I did mention below that I would look at the stats and asserted that "the team that ends up winning it all in OKC has probably committed a few errors along the way"

2021 WCWS Champions - OU
Games with errors = 16
Losses in games with errors = 2
Errorless losses = 2
Games with 3+ errors = 3
Record in games with 3+ errors = 2-1
Errors committed in WCWS semi vs JMU = 3 (2 games, all errors in game #1 win)
Errors committed in WCWS final vs FSU = 3 (3 games, all errors in game #1 loss)

In the June 8 WCWS 8-4 loss to FSU where OU committed 3 errors, Florida State's EARNED RUNS were 7, thus the 3 errors contributed to a run, but it was not the difference in the game. Coincidentally, FSU committed 2 errors in that same game, but neither contributed to a run given away.

The key to OU's success was good pitching and great hitting. They played pretty good defense, but it certainly wasn't what won them the championship.

I didn't do this research to prove a point, and analysis of 1 team during 1 season isn't a significant statistical sampling to do so, even if that was my goal. I followed through:
A) to remain true to my word and
B) because I am a COMPLETE NERD who enjoys research
