Unless I am mistaken, that was the first time that ump was seeing Lemley

and was also responsible for that call. From what I have seen, if the foot only comes off the ground a little, it is not called. I feel like if Lemley could just eleiminate the particulary obvuousy ones, thsi would become a non-issue for her. Sometime it is so far off the ground.

To your point, yes ideally (in theory), if the rule is both feet cannot be in the air, then they should call it every time regardless of the distance from the ground. However, practically, it seems that the umps let them get away with a little.

By the way, I wanted that game badly. I think Tech is better than FSU and earned/deserved a sweep. I am sure FSU will take it, but they know how they won game 3. Long term for this season, what should happen? It could be no adjustments and business as usual, or there could be an attempt to adjust. I guess we will find what the coaches think as the season progresses.
