Almost all the pitchers I have watched

have that back foot come off the ground a little while the lead foot is in the air. However, based on what I have seen, Lemley's comes off way more a lot of the time. It comes straight up, so I do not understand how it really helps her. Seems to me it is more of a habit than a help, but admittedly, I have never fast-pitched a softball.

Now in this particular game, she actually kept it lower on some of the pitches that got called. Given what they appear to call, I a few of them were unfair, especially given FSU was never called. However, on some of the pitches, her foot was really far off the ground, and just hoping they will not be called is whistling past the graveyard.

In my opinion, this is on the coaches. It was just a matter of time before it bit Tech. They better start working on it, or Tech will be back to a one-ace team.
