Inside

No experience with adults

Does she/he have a therapist and a psychiatrist? If not, encourage them to get both.
I see they so no counseling - but it will dramatically improve their lives.

Do you know anyone else in therapist/psychiatrist? if so, maybe that person could talk to your person to let them know if will help.

You could also call the suicide hotline yourself and maybe they have some advice?

Also, mention to them that depression is just another medical condition that can be treated. Just like heart disease or diabetes, depression it is a medical condition.

tough position
