The TC definitely has its work cut out for it. My guess,
and it is only a guess, is that they'll avoid structural discussions until they arrive at standards/guidelines for monetary support for athletes. If they truly want a comparable athletic experience across D1 and broad competition for their championships, then those sideboards are going to have to be substantive. But finances across that same landscape are highly variable. If the current P5 contingent on the TC (11 incl co-chair), pushes for a level higher than the lower level contingent (9 incl co-chair) can tolerate, then that could be the first indicator of a split. And what I don't think they'll be able to do in any circumstance, is set different standards for different sports; not to mention Title IX isn't changing.
